Tower Hamlets Sees Uplift in Phone Payments with Verrus

Tower Hamlets Council has become another recent addition to the Verrus portfolio under its new PayByPhone customer facing branding.

The service has been launched across the whole of the borough’s on street parking areas and replaced the previous Park & Phone system.

Users in Tower Hamlets call the same 0207 number that is in place in Westminster and Islington. Signage, whilst incorporating Tower Hamlets branding, has been designed to have a similar look and feel to that in place in Westminster and Islington. With the details of over 1.1 million motorists on their system, Verrus’ prediction that levels of take up would take off very quickly have proven to be well founded.

Commenting on the scheme, Angela Tyreman, Verrus’ sales and marketing manager said: ”Providing there is a high level of registered users, the benefits of having adjacent boroughs operating the same service are now plain to see – adoption is swift and meteoric and so savings quickly accrue to the borough concerned.
