(September 30, 2017) - On 13th September, the PayByPhone app launched in Green Street car park in Jersey as an alternative to paycards and season tickets. Infrastructure Minister Eddie Noel said that the new app – which is free to download – would offer Islanders more flexibility.

Deputy Noel said: “One of the biggest benefits of this technology is that we are able to extend your parking remotely. People who are in a meeting that overruns or who haven’t quite finished their shopping can top up on their phone instead of having to rush back to their car.”

Following the successful launch in Green Street, which resulted in over 1,300 transactions processed in one week, the app was also rolled out at the Pier Road car park in St Helier. Kevin Bird, the UK Commercial Director will be heading to Jersey to support the roll out of another 32  locations by the 23rd October.
