PayByPhone selected to provide cashless parking in the London Borough of Haringey
PayByPhone has been selected as the cashless parking provider for all on and off street council-owned parking locations in the London Borough of Haringey. The service launches on 29 October in more than 3,500 parking spaces across the borough.
Impressed by the wide range of innovative and customer-friendly payment methods that PayByPhone offers, including apps for smartphones, text messages, online and touch-tone, PayByPhone was chosen because it offers unparalleled benefits for both motorists and parking operators.
Councillor Nilgun Canver, Cabinet Member for the Environment, said: “We are very happy to be working with PayByPhone. The fact that over 2 million motorists have already registered to use the service in London gives us confidence that this system is practical and popular. There are a range of payment methods available which should suit everyone. I hope residents find this very easy to use and much less hassle than trying to find coins for the machine”
For enforcement of the service, PayByPhone will fully integrate with the Civica notice processing systems, giving Haringey Enforcement Officers instant visibility on their handheld devices of vehicles that have paid to park by phone.
Part of the PayPoint group of companies, PayByPhone is the UK’s leading phone parking specialist, offering the widest and most innovative range of phone parking payments, including NFC parking, QR codes, smartphone apps and cash payments at local shops. PayByPhone already works with ten London Boroughs and has over 4.5million registered users.
