Central Milton Keynes Pilot

Central Milton Keynes Pilot

Britain’s biggest and busiest ‘shopping experience’ has begun extensive trials of PayByPhone parking.

With 240 stores and a host of leisure facilities, Central Milton Keynes attracts a staggering one million visitors every week, each staying for an average of three hours.

PayByPhone has been introduced by Milton Keynes Council for the 4,350 premium rate (£1.20 per hour) parking bays, which have the very best locations around thecentre:mk, as it’s now called. If the pilot is as successful and popular as the council hopes, it will then be extended to the 7,000 standard rate (30p per hour) bays.
