Pay for parking when you Exit with our app
One app for parking everywhere: PayByPhone can now be used for off-street parking.
Introducing Pay-on-Exit
Pay on exit parking is often access controlled, most commonly with barriers. These environments have historically been a challenge for mobile parking payments as there have been limited ways to interact with the barrier. With the increasing prevalence of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), PayByPhone can now be used for off-street parking.
How it works
Typically, drivers open the PayByPhone app when arriving at their parking location to purchase a set amount of time. With Pay-on-Exit parking, however, drivers use the PayByPhone app when they're ready to leave, paying only for the time they spent in the car park.
This would mean no queuing at a machine, a simple transaction and they are ready to leave.

1.
Pay-on-exit has the driver open the PBP app when they are leaving their destination, paying for the time they have been in the car park. They need to ensure their car is registered on the app.
2.
If driver attempts to pay on arrival, we will prompt them to make sure they understand that payment is to be made when they are leaving, not arriving
3.
Driver enters location code and is then provided with the time they have spent in the car park and the amount to be paid. Driver can have their preferred payment method charged for parking time used at eligible car parks.
4.
Driver will be presented with a time frame they have to leave the car park and additional information regarding avoiding parking fines.
