PayByPhone appoints new Chief Technology Officer

VANCOUVER, CANADA, 3 June 2024 – PayByPhone, the global leader in mobile parking payments, announces the appointment of Jean-Pierre LeBlanc as Chief Technology Officer, effective 3 June 2024.

LeBlanc joins the PayByPhone management board, reporting to Stuart Houlston, CIO International Fleet, Corpay, PayByPhone’s parent company. LeBlanc is responsible for leading PayByPhone’s global technology team to support the company during its next period of growth.

A Canadian, LeBlanc, joins PayByPhone from Pagefreezer, and brings over 20 years’ executive experience from renowned global companies in the software and mobile marketplaces including Borland, Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent. Most recently, he held CTO positions in the transportation and mobility space with DDS Wireless and PBSC Urban Solutions. His diverse leadership experience spans multiple countries: Canada, China, Finland, France, Switzerland and the US.

LeBlanc holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada. He has served as an educator at the Royal Military College (Computer Engineering), Kingston, Canada, UCSC Santa Cruz (Dept of Computer Science), USA, and most recently at Vancouver Island University (Faculty of Management), Nanaimo, Canada.

LeBlanc takes over from Chris Spacagna who was Interim Chief Technology Officer during the recruitment phase. Spacagna reverts to his role as Senior Director, Software Development, reporting to LeBlanc.
